By the mid 80s, English rock, Goth, and pop legends The Cure were on top of their game. The album 'Kiss Me, Kiss Me, Kiss Me' had made them popular all over the world. They released what has been considered their finest work, and titled it 'Disintegration', in 1989. It's an album of dark, atmospheric beauty, a touch of Goth, some electronic experimental tracks, and a few pop tunes, as well. It's the total package! The Cure has always been known for their diversity, and this album doesn't disappoint. It's great, and is on many people's all time greatest albums lists (including mine)!
For your consideration today, we have a copy of that masterpiece on a special, limited edition, 12" picture disc LP! Copies are available, but most go for at LEAST $100, if not more! The reason? There was a small number of them made. That's what makes picture discs valuable. The number made! This bad boy comes in its original sleeve. The one that you can see Robert Smith's eyes peaking out at you. A really cool Cure collectible if there ever was one!
But wait. There's more! Lol You'll also receive a copy of the THREE disc Deluxe Edition of 'Disintegration'! It's from 2010, and features the 1989 original, remastered album, so you KNOW it sounds amazing! The second CD is demos, and the third disc is the entire album live! Called 'Entreat Plus', it's remixed to sound amazing! And the best part? This Deluxe Edition set is STILL SEALED, and NEVER OPENED or PLAYED!! The picture disc looks really good, with only a few light surface marks on it. Nothing too bad, and hardly noticeable. (Like you have to look hard, and in a bright light to see them.) And you don't have to worry about how the pic disc sounds with the CD you'll get, right, right? Lol Plastic jacket has some light writing (in German) on it. Not sure what genius did that! But still an awesome Cure collectible to have, and at a really nice price for both pieces!
