THE CURE Killing An Arab 7" Rare SMALL WONDER original pressing 1978
This is the original pressing of The Cure's first single from 1978, pressed in very small numbers on the Small Wonder label. It was later re-pressed on the Fiction label.
As detailed on Discogs (see release code: r424930),  ONLY 15,000 copies of this single were pressed on Small Wonder when it was first released on 21 December 1978.
This is a real collectors item!
Identifiers include:

  • Monochrome paper labels - Side A with Small Wonder graphic and the words : "SMALL WONDER LOVES YA!" and Side B with the release details
  • Small 'dripping tap' picture on rear of sleeve which is not present on later releases
  • No catalogue number printed on the sleeve
Sleeve is in Very Good condition overall with just small signs of age. Ringwear is very minor, there is a slight crease to the top right corner and a crease to the seam on the rear right (see pics).
The vinyl is in Very Good condition with just some very light superficial marks on the surfaces. Both sides still play very well with no skips, pops or jumps and with just a little surface noise which is more audible during the quiet sections of 10:15 Saturday Night but this does not detract from the listening pleasure on what is quite a lo-fi recording in any case.
This is 100% the genuine article - I purchased this record from new but has been stored away for very many years now unplayed. It's pretty hard to part with this one as it really is part of my youth but the time has come for someone else to cherish and enjoy it...!  __________________________________________________________________________
