New! 2017 The Cure - The Cure In Orange (Live at Théâtre Antique National, Orange, France in 1986) - ORG UK Pressed on Two Orange Colored Vinyl LP's. This Rare & Very Desirable UK Pressing is in Pristine New Condition. It came new in a resealable Poly Sleeve and has become extremely difficult to find in this new condition. It has never been opened, handled or played. The pressing is known to have Great Sound Quality. The photo showing the color of the vinyl is a stock photo as this one has never been opened. "In Orange was recorded at the Théâtre antique d'Orange in the French countryside (Orange, Vaucluse), and is delivered as a two disc orange vinyl set that's simply hands down one of the finest concert albums of all time. I fully realize that’s a bold statement, yet it’s true. There were none of the gimmicky after show studio tricks, nor is there a chance to catch your breath, or the endless chatting between each song ... just one number flowing flawlessly into the next, all of which makes the recording just breathtaking.
The show takes place at an outdoors setting, within the ruins of an old castle as both the backdrop and the stage for The Cure. The concert begins just at twilight and ends sometime deep in the night, nearly two hours later. The atmosphere is layered and so thick that you feel instantly bathed in the whole event. The crowd has been lightly miked, making for extraordinary sound quality, while the songs chosen are just what you would hope for on a night like this. Robert Smith is in rare form, with the other original members of The Cure seeming more than prepared and excited about the show, making this outing feel nearly scripted.
That said, this is a flawless release with an impressive audio transfer, leaving you to wonder what more you could ask for, with the short answer being ‘absolutely nothing’. Whether or not you’re a fan of The Cure, this is just an amazing concert, one that you should not miss if given the chance. Matter of fact, I highly recommend that you seek this one out."
