Stunning one-owner (before me) copy of The Cure’s 1980 Fiction LP, ‘Seventeen Seconds’, FIX 004, a UK first pressing with A1/B3 matrices:

The original textured sleeve is in structurally excellent shape, just one light spine edge crease, one tiny corner crease, a little corner rubbing and storage rubbing to bottom edge. It’s still a great sleeve, and grades EX.

The previous owner really did look after his vinyl, and the record comes in the original DRG inner sleeve, dated 2/80, and it appears that he has played the vinyl once, maybe twice, and then put it away! There are a couple of the very lightest hairlines on the dead wax, but no discernible marks on the playing surface. Also, there is only one, extremely light spindle line on label side two, barely noticeable, and it’s the only one!

Playing quality is superb, with an absence of the usual crackle that one normally hears as the stylus touches the record’s run-in groove at the very beginning. It is quiet and clean (on both sides). The record plays through with stunning audio quality, and only the very occasional light dust click (present on ALL records). I have no hesitation in grading the vinyl as NEAR MINT.

The record will be packed very carefully for safe shipping, with the vinyl in a separate polylined inner, taken out of the outer sleeve so no seam split occurs.
