This auction is for six records related to or by The Cure, and some are very rare.
For any Cure-heads out there these are essential listening!
The first two records are 12" singles by The Cure: "Just Like Heaven" (FICSX27) from 1987, and "Hot Hot Hot extended remix" (FICSX28) from 1988. Both records are in excellent condition, and the cardboard sleeves have minimal wear and tear.
The third is The Cure - "The Peel Sessions" recorded 1978 and released 1987 on Strange Fruit (SFPS050). The record is pristine and comes in its original paper sleeve. The cardboard outer sleeve has some creasing on one corner.
The third record is "They'll Never Know" by Fools Dance. This band included Simon Gallup from The Cure and JJ Burnell from The Stranglers. It is a 4 track EP released in 1987 by Prism Records (LTS22). The record is in excellent condition and comes in its original paper sleeve. The cardboard outer sleeve is in fair condition, with some pressure marking, light creasing, and evidence of some liquid spillage on the back - rippling the cardboard but not staining it.
This is a rare record.
Fourth is "Like and Animal" by The Glove. This features Steve Severin from the Banshees and Robert Smith from The Cure, released by Polydor on the Wonderland label (SHE X 3) in 1983. The record is in very good condition, although it needs a clean. The cover is in average condition, with some wear and light creasing. Another rare record.
The last item is a rare limited edition 7" double picture disc set called "An interview with Simon Gallup from The Cure". The interview is in two parts and plays at 33 1/3 rpm. Catalogue number CURE 1. The records come in their original transparent polythene sleeves, and are in excellent condition. I have never seen another copy. This record contains no music, and is not dated, although it is clearly from the early 80's during Gallup's first stint with the band.
