THE CURE Ultra Rare  1985  VINTAGE VINYL LP 12"  Record.
  This is a rare item I am parting with. I had heard of a very rare album of the Cure in 1985 and went in search of and had given up many months later when a collector/dealer I knew offered this record to me at twice the price of any other rare record. But I was a Cure fan and collector, I just had to hear anything they had done in spite of the cost. It was mine.   I knew a lot of other Cure fans who desperately sought this record and I actually kept quiet that I had it for several years. It came in sealed shrink wrap and I played it one time only, then filed it away with my other rare gems to brag about. I've long out grown that phase of my life and am now willing to part with it to someone with a hunger for obscure Cure records.   It opens with almost a tease by featuring two songs from the Camden Palace 11-85 show. I already had the entire show on tape so that didn't move me. Next is a two minute  studio outtake of 10:15 Saturday Night followed by a 1:40 take on 'Piggy in the Mirror'' then three songs from Munich 1984.  It is side "B" that is the gem. After 5 songs from Glasgow '84 and more from München is an alternate version of 'Carnage Visors" in it's final mix.   At the time I paid a small fortune for it and I have never seen another nor met anyone who had a copy.
I will ship most anywhere and it will be in a record mailer for safety.     If you are a serious Cure collector then this is for you ! Maybe you prefer to buy over priced colors vinyl or multiple mixes of songs. This isn't for you then it is for collectors only and that is whom I prefer to sell it to.

Note: I am selling off much of my record collection one record at a time on Ebay and in lots elsewhere. The next Album to be listed on Ebay after this set sells is the "Play for Today" album from Rome 1985. One of 500 records made by T.P. House Productions in England. Another very rare Cure record.

Note I have received questions about this record that are very similar so I am pasting a recent reply here so that the listing might answer the same questions in someone else's head. The vinyl is black with a silver label printed in both German and English. I have been told there were only 500 pressed at that time however someone copied the record and pressed it on another label in poor quality. This was pressed on virgin vinyl not reclaimed and re-used. It has no bubbles or imperfections visible and unlike bootlegs in general it does not have the numbers on the master scratched out ( past the paper label after the last song ) It is standard vinyl weight for the time and is not overly flexible due to thinness. I was informed there was a released cassette single with 'Carnage Visors' on it but the one here is a different mix and it is a final mix not a rough mix while working on the final or a mix slapped together when the band wasn't around to watch their song being stolen.   This record is worth every penny spent ton it to a collector. If you are not a collector or a devoted fan you are better off buying the latest colored or splattered vinyl release of yet another remix to capture even more money from you.
