British alternative rock superstars The Cure have been around since 1978. That's FORTY FIVE years! Only Robert Smith is still in the band since the very beginning, but they also have Simon Gallup in the group, and he's been there since 1979. The Cure is still active and touring, and occasionally releases new music. One of the most loved and enduring alternative bands from the 80s that lasted several decades beyond their peak! Are they goth? Synth pop? Rock? Post-punk? New wave? Yes to all of the above!
In 1992, they released their album titled 'Wish'. It features the classic lineup of Robert Smith, Boris Williams, Perry Bamonte, Simon Gallup, and Porl (Pearl) Thompson. Thompson and Andy Vella did the cover's artwork. The album gave us the hits "Friday I'm in Love", "High", and "A Letter to Elise". In 2022, to celebrate the THIRTY year anniversary of that great modern rock classic, a special, limited edition DOUBLE picture disc set was released! TWO albums, in its die-cut sleeve, and a Record Store Day remastered reissue! And the best part? This puppy is STILL SEALED and NEVER OPENED or PLAYED! The first few pics shown are stock photos, so you can see what the vinyl looks like. But rest easy knowing that this copy is new and factory sealed!
