THE CURTIS COUNCE QUINTET
'Exploring The Future' LP
Description: Rare US Pressed Jazz Lp. Although he lived for another five years after this session, this seems to be bassist Curtis Counce's last date as a leader. His quintet was in fine form playing originals by band member Elmo Hope and tenor saxophonist Harold Land, also playing standards like "Someone to Watch Over Me" and "Angel Eyes" with convincing chops. Swedish trumpeter Rolf Ericson, who became better known to jazz fans while with Duke Ellington in the '60s, fits in beautifully with the cool-sounding hard bop style of this tight unit.

Mint: The record itself is in Brand New condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items (such as lyric sheets, booklets, posters etc) are in perfect condition.
Excellent: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there s very little lessening in Sound Quality. The cover and packaging may have slight wear and/or creasing.
Very Good+: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and occassional light scratch . Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items (without major defect) is acceptable.
POSTAGE & Packaging details I do combined shipping so if you win more than one item it will work out a lot cheaper on the postage if i send them in the same mailer.
Auction wins to 'European' and 'Rest of the World' winners will be sent Royal mail airmail (Small packet rate) but can be insured/tracked at extra cost.
Any item with a value of £50.00 or more will have to be sent 'Signed for' to any destination
Unfortunately I can not be responsible for the postal service damaging or losing it ,I do get proof of posting and send packages via recorded (UK) or insured post if requested/at your expense.
All records are sent securely packaged in purpose made mailers with 2 cardboard stiffeners. I always remove the record from the outer sleeve (to avoid seam split whilst in transit) and then insert the record and sleeve into a brand new polythene sleeve.
Proof of postage is obtained for all records dispatched.
IMPORTANT! Payment shall be received within 10 days. If you can't pay within that time frame, either contact me so that I know when/if you intend to pay, or DON'T BID if you can't come up with the money within 10 days after the auction end.
Sorry, but I do not send packages to Central or South America due to high fraud rates.
