Up for auction is an authentic, highly collectible UK first pressing of the definitive 1977 punk debut by The Damned. This copy features the correct earliest A1/B1 matrix numbers, the legendary "Porky" master etchings in the dead wax, and the fully laminated sleeve bearing the original Island Records distribution logo on the back cover.
CONDITION GRADING (Strictly Goldmine Standard):
Vinyl: EXCELLENT (EX)
The vinyl retains its beautiful original high-gloss sheen. It shows only a few incredibly faint, non-feeling paper hairlines under bright light. It plays beautifully with strong, punchy audio and minimal, occasional light surface noise common to this vintage pressing. Labels are clean with minimal spindle wear.
Sleeve: VERY GOOD PLUS (VG+)
The fully laminated sleeve is in great shape. It lays flat with vibrant colours and a clear, readable spine. There is minor edge wear and light laminate lifting/creasing near the spine consistent with a well-cared-for 49-year-old punk artifact. No splits, tears, or writing.
Inner Sleeve: Original standard 1977 UK patent-numbered plain white inner sleeve.
