Description
For auction the first four singles by THE DAMNED released on Stiff Records in 1977. When the band left the label they were gathered together here in a special fold out PVC wallet and offered as a limited edition.
The records are: 1. New Rose/Help (BUY 6) 2. Neat Neat Neat/ Stab Yor Back/Singalonga Scabies (BUY 10) 3. Problem Child/You Take My Money (BUY 18) 4. Don't Cry Wolf/One Way Love (BUY 24)
This particular set has been in storage for 35 years and appear unplayed. There is some flaking to the orange lettering at the top of the pack (see pic) but for The Damned this looks normal! Otherwise there are no rips, writing, fade or damage. Disc 4 - Don't Cry Wolf - was never issued in a picture sleeve so here appears in the Stiff company bag as it was when released.
These were among some of the first punk rock records issued anywhere in the world, with New Rose being the very first British punk 45 of all.
