THE DAVE DAVANI FOUR: FUSED
A great and fully play tested and graded 1st pressing copy of “Fused”. This out there Hammond / R&B / Jazz record is highly sought after and prized by collectors of the more esoteric end of the swinging London sound.
The talented organist Dave Davani and his group were a regular act at top clubs like the Flamingo or the Ricky Tick, sharing the spotlight with other top British names such as Alexis Korner's Blues Incorporated, Zoot Money's Big Roll Band, Graham Bond Organization, Artwoods, Georgie Fame or even US heavy weights such as Jimmy McGriff.
The superb 'Fused!' LP represents first class Hammond powered mod jazz and R&B. From the top opening track, an organ-izised version of the classic Miles Davis 'Milestones', to the last groove of the record this one will please everybody into swingin' soul jazz sounds.

GRADING
SLEEVE: VG+
The sleeve is in superb condition. The spine is straight and true with no flattening and only some tiny laminate peel remote from the spine text. The front cover is clean and undamaged with only some slight laminate peel and light feathering at the aperture. The rear shows some very light discolouration but no staining. A solid and robust sleeve in close to EX condition.
RECORD: VG++ (Visual) EX (Audio)
The record shows a few light hairlines to both sides. These are few and insubstantial. There are 3 small scratches to track 1 of side one, these do not produce a sound. The rest of the LP plays through with only light and very occasional intermittent background crackle that may simply be the result of static.
The above record grading is based on Record Collector magazine system:
MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.
EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
