A promo copy of their first Lp. It’s Belmonts type doo wop on black Leedon and is the only one to feature Noel Widerberg as the lead singer (He died in a car crash shortly after) Great cover photographed at El Alamein fountain Kings Cross. Condition wise the (a) side is EX+ and the (b) side is a little below that at EX-. Both sides play equally well. The labels are M- There are little nicks and cuts at the edges (see scan) Inside there is non oily tape across a split across the centre back and a little along the top and bottom seams. A small nick out of the lower front right corner. Grading wise maybe it’s VG-. Still-definitely a keeper rather than filler copy of the beginnings of a fundamental Aussie group.
CONDITION WISE:
MINT: Brand new condition, no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. Cover, label, extras in perfect condition. EXCELLENT: Slight signs of having been played, no lessening of sound quality. Cover, label, extras are good. VERY GOOD +; Obviously has been played many times. No major deterioration in sound quality despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Some wear and tear on cover or contents.
VERY GOOD: Played quite a few times, some deterioration in sound quality cover, label, extras. Moderate amount of wear and tear.
VERY GOOD-; Further deterioration in sound quality. Considerable wear and tear on cover and it’s contents
GOOD; Just playable. Considerable surface noise. It may even jump. Heavy scratches etc Cover has very serious problems eg defacing, staining missing pieces etc
