Description
Up for grabs is a copy of the very hard to find "Surf n Stomp" from well known vocal group The Delltones. Original Australian mono pressing, on the collectable pink Leedon label (cat # LL-31.118).
This is a classic piece of Australian 60s surf culture....complete with awesome cartoon cover art (by 15 year old David Sturmer) and a glossary of surfing terms on the back. Most of the tracks are covers of well known American surf vocal tunes of the day, although there's a couple of originals.
Would rate cover as (VG-). 3cm bottom seam split from opening, 1cm top seam split from opening. Couple small chips on opening edges. Light ring/shelf/corner wear, misc light spots/marks/creases. Small area of white out near top back seam. Spine is still readable. All in all, a pretty presentable cover!
Vinyl is (VG). Retains most of its original gloss. Has a few minor scuffs/marks. Plays with faint background noise in places.....a really nice playing copy!
A side label is (EX) with a few faint spindle marks. B side label is (VG+)...a few faint spindle marks but has a light water mark on upper right hand side.
As the pics and description show.....this is an above average copy of this rare lp. Of the copies that do show up, most are usually trashed! A great playing or display copy...grab it while you can!
