THE DEVIANTS - PTOOFF! - Mega-rare vinyl album from 1967 by UK proto-punk band The Deviants. It’s not known how many copies of this first pressing of 1000 copies on the ‘Underground Impresarios’ label have survived the past half-century but there can be precious few that have made it in this excellent condition. The album was given to me in 1968 by British radio DJ John Peel (sadly missed champion of new musical genres) It comes in its original 6-panel fold-out poster-sleeve printed in blue on one side and in full colour on the other. The unlaminated cartridge paper is in great condition. There’s a tiny label on the top left of the cover and a 2 inch split on what would be the spine on a conventional sleeve (see photo). I have tried to show the condition of record and sleeve in the photos. The vinyl is shiny with only light surface marks. It has been play-tested and sounds fine with the odd crackle and NO jumps. Blemishes are so superficial I can’t get them to show up on the photographs, but rest assured they merely add to the charm of this historic vintage LP. The record will be expertly packed and despatched by next day courier immediately following cleared payment.
