Description

  • The Doobie Brothers released their second album "Toulouse Street" in July 1972 on Warner Bros. Records. Their first effort was ignored by radio so this is really their debut in many fan's minds. It was also the first with Tiran Porter on bass and the addition of a second drummer in Michael Hossack which gave the band it's double-diesel power sound. It was a Top 20 album and includes their breakthrough hits "Listen To The Music," "Jesus Is Just Alright," and "Rockin' Down The Highway."

  • This rare copy of (BS 2634) is from the First Pressing nearly 50-years-ago and is in excellent condition. The Textured Gatefold Cover is in Near-Mint condition with only the slightest edge wear. Please see the pictures. It has the original first pressing Green disc labels (later copies have Burbank labels). The disc test plays cleanly and is easily VG+ which is as high as I go on vintage vinyl. It was produced by Ted Templeman, engineered by Donn Landee, and this copy was pressed at the Columbia Records plant in Santa Maria, Calif. The Side One dead wax is etched BS-2634-A 40218-1A B2 S1. 

  • In addition to its original packaging, this album will come with a high quality Anti-Static Round Bottom Inner Sleeve to hold the vinyl disc and a sturdy 3 mil. polyethylene Archival Quality Outer Sleeve.

  • Free shipping is included in the special corrugated album mailer seen in the last picture.

  • This vintage 12" vinyl album has been sitting upright on a shelf in climate controlled storage for the past 49 years. It has not been played in decades other than a quick test spin for this sale which found no skips or obvious flaws. Like all used records it should be cleaned and wiped with an anti-static brush to minimize the occasional pops that are part of playing vinyl albums. Buyers should note that this is a well-cared for but used record and it will have some minor imperfections.
