GENERAL INFORMATION - All of my DCC records are: personal store purchases, stored in a dark, clean, climate controlled environment and handled safely. I usually purchased 2 titles of each disc, opening only 1.

After hundreds of purchases I have never found a defective DCC disc!

DCC - Digital Compact Classics

Short name - DCC     Formed - 1986     Closed – 2001    Current Address - Chatsworth, CA, USA    

Founded by - Marshall Blonstein    Specialty  - Remastered Reissues of Established Artists.

Biography - Former ABC-Dunhill Records promotions executive Marshall Blonstein, who served in the same capacity with Epic Records-CBS as

well as serving as president of Island Records and co-founding Ode Records, (re-)launched Dunhill Compact Classics (sans ABC) in 1986 - a week

after hearing his first CD in a record shop.

With engineer Steve Hoffman in the mixing studio, Dunhill Compact Classics released 50 remastered vinyl reissues and over 240 CDs; many in

Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab-style 24 karat gold plating.   

After a costly legal struggle with the British Dunhill Tobacco Company, the name was changed to DCC Compact Classics.

A year after closing DCC, Blonstein picked up where he had left off and founded Audio Fidelity.
