Description
PLEASE NOTE: I WILL ONLY GRADE AN OPENED LP NEAR MINT (NM) IF I CAN GUARANTEE IT HAS NEVER BEEN PLAYED (i.e. I AM THE ORIGINAL OWNER). OTHERWISE, NEAR MINT MINUS (NM-) IS THE ABSOLUTE HIGHEST GRADE I WILL ASSIGN AN OPENED LP
WILDLY RARE original Terre Haute first pressing from 1971 on Elektra's dark green butterfly label with two-color burgundy & black varnish-print cover with rounded edges and embossed DOORS at the top on the front in white text, original cut-out window on the front with clear acetate on which the band photo is printed in black half-tone, original bright yellow inner sleeve with rounded edges and withdrawn black print "crucifix" image showing a pregnant woman crucified on a telephone pole on one side, Columbus Circle address in the lower label rim text, rear cover and inner sleeve, A-1/B-2 matrix suffixes etched in the dead wax, respectively, on sides one and two and Artisan dead wax stamp on both sides!!! LP is VG+ with a small nick on the edge at 12:30 on side 2 only. Cover has a small crease in the top right hand corner and is still in the original shrink wrap(!). Near impossible to find in this state so don't sleep Doors collectors.
I USE GOLDMINE GRADING~ MINT (SEALED) NEAR MINT: LOOKS UNPLAYED VG++: VERY VERY MINIMAL SIGNS OF US VG+: AVERAGE SIGNS OF USE, NOTHING DEEP, SUPERFICIAL VG: STILL AN OK RECORD, NOISE BETWEEN SONGS GOOD: WORN BUT PLAYS FINE WITH DISTRACTING NOISE POOR: FILLER COPY ONLY. LOTS OF SCRATCHES
