Description
From my own collection, purchased as soon as it was released, as befitting a big Doors fan. The vinyl is Near Mint, glossy and clean. Here are the dead wax etchings: Artisan stamp on both sides after etching side 1: EKS-75011 A2 CSM (early pressing at Santa Maria plant) side 2: EKS-75011 B2 CSM
Address on jacket back AND label is the Columbus Circle, New York address (Elektra pre-Warner's. No "W"/Warner's on label)
The die-cut, cello-insert jacket: I have tried to show the little ring wear, etc in the pictures. Because the maroon parts are still pretty glossy and the clear cellophane insert is really shiny, there are light glares in the pictures. Likewise, the odd-looking parts of the vinyl pics are reflections (of me & the camera & lights). There are a fewsmall "chips" in the maroon, little white spots...as photos show, they are barely noticeable. The cello insert (picture of The Doors) has a few marks, also barely noticeable, no tears or rips. The spine is straight, clean and fully readable, also with only a few tiny "chips", none at the title.
The yellow inner jacket (with the nude phone-pole crucifixion pic on one side) is flat, clean & near-perfect, having only tiny 1/8" tears at one upper right corner, which is bent--can be seen in photo #1. The inner jacket also has the Columbus/NYC address.
