Description
The Doors with "L.A.WOMAN" from 1971 on the Elektra record label. This is a UK 1st press with die-cut translucent window embossed 'Doors" and yellow inner sleeve. With matrices:
K42090 A1
K42090 B1
The record is VG with marks and hairlines from previous play. Both sides played without jumps or skips.
Side 1 played nicely without clicks or excessive crackle.
Side 2 had more crackle that was fairly audible at times but not overpowering. There were audible clicks for the first half of track 1 but the music played through these quite nicely. There was also the odd single click now and again on one or two other tracks on this side. Regardless, the sound was very listenable, albeit with the above mentioned points. The labels are excellent with just a small name 'bill' in light biro.
The embossed 'DOORS' outer sleeve has no damage and is VG+. The window is intact and not torn or detached, just a slight mark left from a price sticker near the 'D'. The sleeve has a little light creasing/scuffing/dents from use and storage but these are all minor - please see photos - overall a really nicely preserved sleeve.
The yellow inner is excellent.
I grade all of my records according to The Record Collector Magazines grading system.
I always test play my records on a Pro-Ject Debut Carbon Turntable with Ortofon cartridge stylus unless they are in near mint/ mint condition and appear unplayed but the description will state this. I don't sell records with deep scratches or marks that affect the sound quality and enjoyment.
All of our Vinyl is professionally cleaned using a Pro-Ject VC-S record cleaning machine.
The vinyl is then packaged in a protective anti static sleeve, the whole album placed into a protective outer plastic sleeve and then posted in a robust top of the range custom cardboard record mailer.
