Description

The Doors first Elektra LP from 1967 in MONO!!  This mono press has the correct mono cover intact (no seam splits).  Cover is VG with some visable ring wear (see photo).  Vinyl is VG+ and sounds excellent!!  No distortion, but some crackle in the quieter moments.  Mix is a little different from the version we all know.  It has a little more drum kick and bass than the stereo version.  DEFINITELY a keeper copy of a rare LP! 

On Feb-22-08 at 16:30:07 PST, seller added the following information:

Just listened to "The End" on this LP and it has a unique mix where you can clearly hear Morrison chanting the "F" word about 9 minutes in.  According to another auction this is truly a rare mix, only a few mono copies had this mix.  Subsequent mixes of this LP (even the later mono pressings) faded Morrison's voice in the mix during this part to avoid controversy.
