THE DOORS Self titled Debut PSYCHE Vinyl Record UK MONO Red/Black Elektra EKL 4007 A1/B1
A Psychedelic masterpiece from one of the most significant acts of the era. As the band takes us on an epic journey through blues, jazz and psychedelia, Jim Morrison's powerful baritone vocal fluctuates wonderfully between tenderness and brutality. It also features the global smash hit 'Light My Fire.
PLEASE NOTE: The item for sale is the VINYL ONLY. Sadly, the original sleeve was lost at some point back in the day.
This is one of the earliest UK MONO pressings (1968) as depicted by the A1/B1 matrix and the iconic Elektra red and black labels.
VINYL: The vinyl has a number of surface marks that is typical for a vinyl of this age. However, it plays through perfectly with no skips or jumps. There is some background crackle that can be heard in the quieter moments but this does not distract from the songs. The mono sound is great and the tracks come through crisp and clear.
LABEL: The iconic red and black Elektra labels are in excellent condition. There is some slight spindle wear but nothing that affects playback.
This record has been play tested, honestly described and carefully graded.
