A truly superb condition copy of this 1967 UK 1st press Doors classic

Gleaming, jet black sheen, weighty and completely flat vinyl - excellent plus (EX+) condition at least, many would grade as "near mint", I am sure - and in normal daylight there is not a mark in sight; with very close inspection and the vinyl tilted to the right angle, you may just be able to detect one or two faintest of faint paper scuffs but these are negligible - incredible condition for a record that is now 56 years of age! And combined with the fact that both labels are pristine apart from just two very small and extremely faint spindle trails on each strongly suggests that this record has been played only a few times. The iconic laminated (both sides) psychedelic outer sleeve is excellent plus (EX+) - I would not hesitate in grading as "near mint" were it not for a front side horizontal 25cm straight line 4mm wide gap in the lamination - clearly a manufacturing error, which for me just adds to the charm of the antiquity of this record - these strange things happened in the 60's! Everything else about the outer sleeve is near perfect : firm unscuffed edges, perfectly defined right angled corners with no rubbing, a rigid spine with all spine text perfectly intact, firm opening edges with no fraying, no cardboard creasing and all art work, photos, and text retaining perfect clarity, original colour vibrancy and in exquisite condition. In other words, "gorgeous". The stereo sound quality is truly near mint (NM) - no skips, jumps, repeats, sticks, clicks, interference, distortion or background crackle. This record plays as well as it did on the first day it was purchased with great tone and crystal clear vocals and instrumentation with every track remaining a superb listen. The original inner sleeve with lyrics on one side and a band photograph on the other, is in very good plus (VG+) condition. No seam splits, no edge fraying or tears, and barely any age discolouration. There is some creasing in three of the corners, however, and just a little bit of wear on the reverse side top corner/edge above the "STRANGE DAYS" lyrics. Note that the record will be posted inside a new poly-lined white inner sleeve in order to protect the original.
A brilliant copy of this 1967 Doors classic - there can't be many UK 1st press vinyls in better condition than this. POSTAGE COSTS :

Note that I always insert the vinyl into a new plain white poly-lined inner sleeve in order to protect the original during postage, and separate this from the outer sleeve to prevent seam splits. I use thick cardboard stiffeners and take great care in my packaging to ensure as far as possible that these precious records reach their destination in exactly the same condition as when they leave me.
