Rare 7 LP box set on 180g R.T.I. vinyl of all the original six studio albums with Jim Morrison. Includes first repressing of The Doors debut album in glorious MONO ! (check out the The End especially for Jim's naughty language not heard on the stereo edition).

Contains: 1. Black faux lizard skin outer and inner boxes in mint condition - seriously thick and heavy quality protection. 2. 4-page information 12" booklet about the remastering and meticulous vinyl pressing process, essays by Jac Holzman & Bruce Botnick. 3. Original shrink wrap with hype sticker loving folded and kept all these years (aw!). 4. All six original Doors albums from 1967-1971, beautifully restored, along with reproduced inner sleeves all as pictured. 5. Extra MONO LP pressing of Doors debut album. 6. All LPs have generic white PVC-lined inner sleeves. 7. Outer hype sheet with 'The Doors Vinyl Box' and product info.
This item was bought new by me in 2008, direct from The Doors' merchandising. Barely played, maybe all once but as I have other pressings of their individual LPs, it wasn't my go-to copy. As such, it's at least EX, or near-Mint at a pinch.
Any defects, such as the sctratch on L.A. Woman S2, T1 for the opening 20 seconds approx. It was there when I got it - I recall that was a common problem with that particular pressing, and unfortunately I missed the deadline notice that they'd replace any scratched pressings. There is a wee mark on the front The Soft Parade, nothing horrible but, like the scratch, was there when I got it. Someboody might have had clumsy hands in the warehouse.
**Note the photo of the Doors 1st LP in Mono - the light reflection might look like scratches: please know this is the lampshade reflection not the vinyl, which is pristine!
Anyway they do all sound fabulous. A lot work was put into this set, and it shows. I hope the winner appreciates it too. I do want this beautiful box set to sell, and would like a fair price, having lugged it around seven different homes, but it IS selling and this is YOUR chance. Best Offers welcome.
And please don't forget that this selling on other websites for up to €500, so grab a relative bargain!
Item will be sent carefully in thick cardboard packaging, carefully protected for its journey to a new, loving (right?) home. Nothing worse than buying records and receiving them damaged from being sent in thin, cheap mailers.
