Description

Rare, original gatefold US Mono LP from THE DOORS - WAITING FOR THE SUN - on Electra Records from 1968. (Gold Label - #EKL 4024). One of the rarest LP's from the DOORS as supposedly only about 1000 copies were done as Mono was being phased out by then. This is the original LP with the different Mono mix from the Stereo one. Features 11 songs including "Hello, I Love You", "Love Street", "Not To Touch the Earth", "The Unknown Soldier", "Spanish Caravan", "Five To One" and others. Cover is in very good shape with some light surface/ring wear and some edge wear to it on the right side. No splits. Vinyl is in very good shape with some light surface marks and light scratches here and there from sliding in and out and being played, etc. Plays great with just a small bit of audible crackling (mostly noticable between songs and mostly on the first couple songs on each side). Very Tough one to find! Shipping is $4 for media mail or $8 for priority airmail in the US, $9 for first class or $20 for priority in Canada and $14 for first class or $28 for priority airmail overseas. Shipping can be combined on multiple auctions won from me. Free insurance for US and Canada/Overseas if it sells for over $100, but Non-US buyers please be forwarned that it will take a bit longer to clear customs due to this and must be declared for full value to be insured against loss or damage.
