Don't miss this opportunity to own one of the finest and rarest 1979 CLASSIC ROCK Albums of all time.

The Long Run is the sixth studio album by the American rock group the Eagles, released in 1979. This was the first Eagles album not to feature founding member Randy Meisner, who was replaced by Timothy B. Schmit. This was also the last studio album until 2007's Long Road Out of Eden, the final studio album for Asylum Records, and the last studio album to include Don Felder.

The album was originally intended to be a double LP album to be released in 1978 but was instead released as a single LP. Some of the tracks that were left off the album would be cobbled together to compose the cut "Long Run Leftovers" which appeared on the band's 2000 box set Selected Works: 1972-1999. Some of the bits in "Long Run Leftovers" were resurrected by Joe Walsh on "Rivers (of the Hidden Funk)" from 1981's There Goes the Neighborhood and "Told You So" on 1983's You Bought It, You Name It.

Also, the band recorded a Christmas single during the sessions, the first of which was a cover of "Please Come Home For Christmas" by Charles Brown (released as a single in November 1978). The song's B-side was a Don Henley and Glenn Frey original called "Funky New Year"?the band's song about the pitfalls of celebrating New Year's Day.

The Long Run took almost two years to complete and saw the Eagles move in a more hard rock direction that they started going in with its predecessor, 1976's Hotel California.

ANY OTHER QUESTIONS , PLEASE ASK ME , YOU WON'T BE DISAPPOINTED

All records are professionally cleaned using a MOTH cleaning system prior to despatch. Not only does this wet clean/vacuuming process remove surface marks such as fingerprints, etc, it also significantly reduces background noise and many argue that the lower noise floor results in opening up of the sound and improved fidelity.

A word about hairline marks. It is almost impossible to find any non-sealed record without any hairline marks - many had them from new, particularly if sold with cardboard inner sleeves. They are a result of storage and use and have little impact on sound quality.

I package my records in the strongest purpose made mailers for maximum safety.

All records are removed from their picture sleeves where appropriate and posted in a separate plain white inner to avoid damage during transit.

The following is the scale I use to grade my records , please buy with confidence.

MINT:

The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks

or deterioration in sound quality.

The cover and any extra items are in perfect condition.

Records advertised as sealed or un-played should be mint.

EXCELLENT:

The record shows some signs of having been played,

but there is very little lessening in sound quality.

The vinyl may have some hairline surface scuffs which will be only slightly visible.

The cover and packaging might have minor wear and/or creasing.

VERY GOOD:

The record has obviously been played many times,

but displays no major deterioration in sound quality,

despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch.

Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items,

is acceptable.

GOOD:

The record has been played so much

that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated.

perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches.

The cover suffers from folding, spine splits, discoloration, etc.

POSTAGE and DISCOUNTS:

UK Orders - Please add 1.25 UKP for each additional LP purchased (doubles count as 2)

International Orders - Please add 2.5 UKP for each additional LP purchased (doubles count as 2). I prefer to send International orders 'international signed for' to ensure that all orders arrive at their destination safely.

THE MORE YOU BUY , THE MORE YOU SAVE

"European" Example of Postage Discount (Standard Untracked Delivery all prices quoted in UKP) -

1 LP's Won = 6.95 (Shipping per LP = 6.95)

2 LP's Won = Only 9.45 (Shipping per LP = 4.73)

3 LP's Won = Only 11.95 (Shipping per LP = 3.98)

4 LP's Won = Only 14.45 (Shipping per LP = 3.61)

5 LP's Won = Only 16.95 (Shipping per LP = 3.39)

For all International Tracked postage please add 5 UKP (Orders over 20 UKP will be sent only via International Tracked post)

This calculation does not apply to orders over 2kg in weight (5 lp's is usually just under 2kg). Orders over 2kg in weight may have to be split into 2 or more packages to ensure shipping is as cost effective as possible.

For multiple purchases , PLEASE WAIT for me to send you a combined postage invoice at the end of the auction day BEFORE making payment otherwise you will end up paying me more postage than is required as postage discounts have to be manually applied.

LEAVING FEEDBACK and UNDERSTANDING DSR SCORES:

I always strive to provide a 5-star service to my customers by stating my policies upfront, answering questions quickly, sending packages daily, and charging *realistic* safe shipping! In eBay's new feedback system, when you give 4 stars it may seem like a great score. For instance, a 4 in Shipping Time means "Quickly". Ebay, however, considers this a sub-par mark. Their standards require sellers to maintain 4.8 & above, or be penalized with higher fees and lower standing in search results. If you are satisfied with the transaction upon receipt of your item, please don't hesitate to respond with all 5 stars! If you are not pleased, simply contact me and I will work hard to make sure you achieve 100% satisfaction.

Payment Policies

I accept the following forms of payment: PayPal.

Shipping & Handling

I offer standard shipping methods to facilitate rapid processing of your order.

All international orders 20 UKP and above will automatically be sent 'international signed for' to ensure they reach you safely.

Conditions of Sale

Please note that I cannot hold items pending the outcome of future auctions.

Payment is required within 5 days of the end of each auction.
