Description

Up for auction is a super nice copy of the Earth Disciples album "Getaway Train" released on Solid State Records (SS-18064) in 1970.  This is an original, first pressing not a cheap reissue.  Includes original gatefold cover.  The cover is in great shape, which is saying something because this album is very prone to heavy wear and tear.  Only a hint of rubbing at the top middle in the lettering.  Front graphics are bright and clean.  Corners are sharp.  No seam splits, which are common on this record.  Back cover has some ring wear at the top middle, and some rubbing along the hinge seam.  Inside gatefold, factory "Stereo" sticker on right hand side.  Overall, one of the nicest examples of this cover I've come across.  I'd grade it EX+ (Excellent plus).  The vinyl is really nice, retaining its original high gloss luster.  Super clean, with no obvious scratches or scuffs.  This is the nicest copy of this record I've seen.  Looks like its rarely been played.  Labels are bright and clean.  I'd grade the vinyl Near Mint (NM).  A very nice copy of a highly-sought after Soul/Funk classic.
