Description

THE ELECTRIC PRUNES - I Had Too Much Too Dream Last Night; Germany 1978, Reprise (WEA) REP 24033 F, stereo, Matrix: WEA - 24033 - A  /  WEA - 24033 - B, test pressing LP, including 'label-copy sheet' dated Dec. 14, 1978.

Remarks                                                                                                                                                            

1978 stereo test pressing of first Electric Prunes album, unreleased in Germany until 1986. The 1986 re-issue released with identical catalog number but as a different pressing with diff. matrix information ( R/S Alsdorf 24033 A / R/S Alsdorf 24033 B2 )!

This test pressing set comes from a 1993 archives liquidation. The disc appears unplayed to me and is in really stunning condition. The 'label-copy sheet' used to be glued to a polylined inner sleeve and did come off over the years. The archives cover is a stock cover with cellophane tape reinforced opening, used for storage with some shelf wear.

Absolutely rare and most likely one-of-a-kind test pressing of The Electric Prunes 1967 classic album.

Condition  label:  near mint   ( no spindle marks )

Condition cover:  very good  ( opening reinforced with cellophane tape,residue archives sticker,some visible shelf wear )

Grading:               Record Collector descriptions & standards ( no 'mint' grade )
