Description
THE ELOIS “I’M A MAN” b/w “BY MY SIDE” ULTRA RARE Aussie 45 ~ GARAGE PUNK R&B FREAKBEAT FUZZ
The Elois – I’m a Man b/w By My Side 7” (orig. Australia In Records MONO IN-S-8067)
Release date: April 1967.
On offer here is an ULTRA RARE original issue of the only 7” single by rural Victoria’s FEEDBACK KINGS, THE ELOIS. The A-side is a fuzzed-out version of BO DIDDLEY’s “I’m a Man”, but it’s the original flipside “By My Side” that really takes this 45 to a place rarely chartered. THIS IS WHAT SEPARATES THE CONTENDERS FROM THE PRETENDERS IN THE MUSIC SWEEPSTAKES. Both sides must rate as two of the FINEST AUSSIE 1960’s FREAKBEAT TRACKS EVER COMMITTED TO VINYL!
This is a GENUINE FIRST ISSUE acquired from Wayne Duncan (DADDY COOL’s bass guitarist) back in the 1990’s, and not one of the reissues that are currently out there. Be sure to check out the YouTube links below. Enjoy!

GRADING (also refer photos)
Record:
visual: EX+ beautiful glossy sheen—few insignificant hairlines only (seen under strong light), POSSIBLY THE BEST COPY ON THIS PLANET!
audible: EX SOUNDS SUPERB despite some insignificant underlying surface noise. A HIGHLY ENJOYABLE LISTENING EXPERIENCE!
labels: HARDLY ANY SPINDLE WEAR, stamp over inner rim of “I’m a Man” (validates the authenticity of this disc with its “Bourke Street Melbourne” address).
THIS FREAKBEAT 45 HAS HARDLY SEEN THE LIGHT OF DAY SINCE IT WAS RELEASED 46 YEARS AGO. MANY DEALERS WOULD GRADE THE DISC AS M-. IT PREVIOUSLY BELONGED TO DADDY COOL’s BASS GUITARIST, WAYNE DUNCAN. IMPRESSIVE COPY – BID WITH CONFIDENCE!
