MY LAST ONE! If you're here, you probably already know what you're looking at.
One of the rarest of the rare in the world of Jack Oblivian.
This is the 1st time since 1994 that this record has been available on eBay (over a 22 years ago).
Quite scarce indeed.
Features Jack Yarber, long before he was Jack Oblivian.
Yarber and his cousin played together using a number of band names.
Eventually releasing this new wave 7-inch under the name The End.
The tracks "You Never Called" and "People Talk" (later covered by Cheap Time)...
...were recorded in 1984 at Phillips Studio in Memphis, Tennessee.
This vinyl single, released on Erwin Records marked Jack Oblivian's first appearance on record.
By 1989 the two had diverged musically and Jack's cousin left town...
Effectively ending their partnership.
The sound that they created on this record went on to influence untold numbers of Memphis bands.
Includes "People Talk" which was later masterfully covered by Cheap Time.
These were produced in a insanely limited run.
This is the first and only pressing.
This is the ONLY place to find these unreleased treasures which are virtually unheard by fans...
But are as strong as everything he's ever produced.
Super limited, long out of print and insanely rare.
Mark on A side label.
Record plays as brand new.
