Description
Up for auction is a super clean copy of the psych-rock classic "The Eyes Of The Beacon Street Union" released on MGM Records (SE-4517) in 1968. This is a guaranteed, original first pressing with original record and gatefold cover. Includes factory original and correct paper inner sleeve in beautiful condition. A Bosstown rarity.
Cover is in great shape, with very few signs of previous wear or handling. Front and rear graphics are bright and clean. Corners are sharp and clean, though lower left shows very light rubbing. Very light signs of ring wear on top middle of front and back, though it's a little hard to see. Seams are strong and intact, no splits, no cracking or losses. Interior gatefold is in beautiful, clean condition. Does have a very small factory punch hole in upper left corner. I'd grade this cover Near Mint Minus (NM-).
Vinyl is in super condition, no obvious scratches or scuffs, very few signs of previous handling or play. Surfaces retain their original high gloss shine. Labels are clean, no obvious marks around spindle holes indicating little previous play. Perhaps the faintest signs of having been taken in and out of original paper inner sleeve, but it's hard to see. I'd grade this record as Near Mint (NM).
This is one of the cleanest copies of this rarity that you will come across. Very well-preserved and hard to up-grade.
