Records are visually graded, but I do listen to intros for crackle and clarity, and play through any marks. Please read the entire listing to avoid any misunderstanding.

THE FACES – THE FIRST STEP – 1st PRESSING – VISUAL VG PLAYS EX

Always known as “First Step”, but early copies like this are titled “The First Step”. A2 / B2 matrices. Orange Warner label.

Nice shiny vinyl, but there are some light surface marks, no more than you’d expect from a record that’s been played and enjoyed. Two light scuffs on side 2 are visible, but you can’t feel them and I’ve played the whole thing before listing it and there are no loud clicks or pops.

Side 1 has a very light crackle during the run-in and first few seconds, but fine after that.
Side 2 is similar. There is a very light repetitive crackle during the run-in and first 15 seconds as the music fades in, fine after that.
Both sides do have the occasional light crackle in gaps between tracks.
Personally, I didn’t find any of the above particularly intrusive. It plays well and the overall sound quality is great.
