(A Step Forward Record SF 13 UK 7" Single 1980)
This is a UK Picture Sleeve 7" Single 1st pressing in very nice overall condition. It has a side opening Picture Sleeve. This is printed on thick matte card. There is a flipback at the top & bottom edges of the rear sleeve. The record is pressed on thick vinyl & has white "A Step Forward" solid paper labels. It has 1st press SF 13 A-1 and SF 13 B-1 matrix stampers. "A Porky Prime Cut" and "There's A Message For Us All Now Listen" are machine etched in the dead wax on the A and B Side respectively. Also, the black vinyl glows translucent red/ purple when viewed through a strong light.
This is a genuine UK 1st pressing of this classic early 1980's Post-Punk/ Indie 7" Single. This single failed to chart in the national UK charts. However, it did reach No. 4 in the UK Indie charts. Nevertheless, it is quite tricky to locate nowadays. I have some other rare & collectable 1970's, early 1980's Punk and Post-Punk UK Original 7" Singles & LP's for sale. Sleeve: There is light or very mild fading to a varying degree to the white areas of the sleeve. There is some light, very mild or very minor hairline rubbing wear on the spine edge on a few areas. There is some light, mild or very mild rubbing wear to the corner tips. There is some light, mild or very mild rubbing wear on the sleeve opening edges on some areas. This is not too noticeable. There is some light, mild or very mild ringwear on some areas. There are no seam splits. Overall, Very Good+ condition.
Vinyl: There is a mild to more moderate 1 cm hairline surface mark at the start of the B-side. There is a mild 1.5 cm hairline surface mark on the B-side too. There is a very small & light 1 cm hairline surface mark at the very edge of the A-side. Otherwise, there are a few light, very mild or very minor sleeve rubs which can barely be seen under a strong light. The card picture sleeve, over time, has left some light, very mild or very minor dull surface marks on a few areas. These, again, can barely be seen under a strong light. The A-side is in Excellent condition. The B-side is in Very Good+ condition. Overall, NEAR EXCELLENT condition. The labels are in Near Mint condition and show next to no spindle wear.
I have play tested this single in its entirety & it plays Near Excellent to Excellent overall, & Excellent in some places. There is some light, very mild or very minor crackle in a few quieter places. There are no clicks or pops. Overall, a great audio copy!
I shall place the vinyl into a separate plain paper sleeve. This will protect the original picture sleeve from any damage during the shipping process.

MINT Condition = A perfect copy! Almost impossible to find like this.
NEAR MINT Condition = Very nearly mint just slightly under, There may be a very few, very light paper surface sleeve rubs that can hardly be seen under strong light. This disc has been played a couple of times at most. The sleeve is virtually perfect - there is very minimal wear only.
EXCELLENT Condition = A clean & tidy copy that shows minimal defects. There will be light, very mild or very minor surface sleeve rubs. There will be no scratches. The cover will be very nice & clean with maybe minimal creasing, ringwear or edge rubbing wear etc...
NEAR EXCELLENT Condition = You can tell this record has been played a few times, but it has been well cared for. There will be minor surface marks only. The sleeve may have light, mild or very mild creasing,ringwear & very mild rubbing wear to the edges etc.... Overall, it will be a very serviceable copy that you will be pleased with.
Very Good Condition = A well played but very decent overall copy. There will be a few marks on the vinyl, but they won't be nasty scratches, just relatively light needle scuffs and sleeve removal marks, they will be noticeable but won't detract from play too much. Cover will show signs of storage/ ageing, e.g., creasing, slight folding, spinewear, ringwear or sticker tears etc... The record will not be trashed!!
Please note that I also use "+" or "-" symbols for this grading. A plus symbol is obviously at the top end of "Very Good" & is really not far from being in "near excellent" condition. The minus symbol obviously means it is at the lower end. This will mean that it is near to being in "Good+" condition.

Royal Mail have very recently increased their postage rates. So I have revised my postage costs to reflect their increases. (Please note that these prices include packaging costs too)
Double LPs are classed as two LPs. Also posters, inserts, etc.. can increase postage costs.
All records will be sent in high quality vinyl mailers with at least two card stiffeners either side of the LP or 7" Single. I use a cruciform box for larger orders (3-6 LPs). All parcels will be marked "Fragile" and dispatch time will generally be between 1-3 days after payment.
I will also remove the vinyl from the sleeve & place them in a re-sealable polythene sleeve. In order to prevent seam splits. Depending on the inner sleeve; I often remove the vinyl from the inner sleeve & place it in a separate plain paper, or polythene-lined, plain inner sleeve. I am very conscientious and careful when packaging your LP(s).
I consider my postage & packaging costs to be very transparent & very fair. Packaging costs will generally be between £0.80 to £1.50.
