  THE FALL LP LIVE AT THE WITCH TRIALS (A Step Forward Records SFLP 1). Released 1979.


Original British import pressing from 1979. A very early line-up of the Fall plays on this album. I'm not sure this version of the Fall appears on any other LP. Mark E. Smith vocals & tapes, Marc Riley bass guitar, Martin Bramah guitar, Yvonne Pawlett e. piano, Karl Burns drums. Recorded at Camden Suite studios in London in Dec. 1978. Produced by Bob Sargeant; engineered by Alvin Clark. These 11 songs close with the eight-minute-long "Music Scene". Front cover by John Wriothesley. Back cover contains a delightful excerpt from the "Alternative Ulster" fanzine (page 8). Album has remained in the original protective 4 mil polybag since purchase for excellent preservation! Wax is in fantastic shape. Very well cared for by the owner!! (Matrix #: "S F L P  1  A1 85/2").

    No seam splits, stains, marks, cuts, tears, smudges, scuffs, abrasions, bubbles, water damage, cut-out marks, writing, price tags, tape, stickers or color fading. No speckling or rubbing; no corner banging. Tiny amount of ring indentation-barely noticeable. Nice slick reflective coating on cover. Spine is excellent: fully readable. Deep rich color throughout cover & label: quite special! Label is excellent with no blemishes & sharp-cut hole free of spindle brushings.

  We give great importance to grading our items accurately. Free of scratches, scuffs, pits, stains, warping, streaking, abrasions, or residue on the disc or dead wax. Nice reflective sheen on disc surface. Album has been safely stored upright in climate-controlled conditions.
