Many of the records that I am currently selling came from the collection of a fellow who worked for many years in the pressing plant at Federal Records in Kingston. That makes for some unusual and interesting items. Many of the items are pre release and some of the lps came without sleeves, a few are 1 off color pressings.
Many collectors including myself have thought that ALL STAR TOP HITS was Coxsone Dodd's first lp. Here however is the real owner of that honor - JAMAICAN ALL STARS. This lp was made in limited quanities. I've been told that there were 3 original pressings; the first 500 copies on blank label; 300 for the 2nd again no label and 150 to 200 for the final press which did have a label. The matrix #s are: FLPC 101 B / 102 B. Makes you wonder what 101A is. The label was the orange and yellow Coxsone label sometimes known as the "shield " label - as you might see on Little Willie 7". None of the 3 pressings came with a cover. The copy here is one of the blanks, no cover - too bad - it has suffered abuse the last 48 years. The tracks are: BEESTON STREET RIFF - Clue J & The Blues Blasters; LITTLE WILLIE - Aubrey Adams; I DONE YOU WRONG - Blues Busters; I LOVE YOU - Simms & Robinson; MY HEART - Charmers; I NEED A LITTLE LOVING - Owen Gray; CAMPUS HOP - Dennis Syndrey & Rico; I WAS WRONG - Winston Samuels; FREEDOM - Clancy Eccles ; LONELY BOY - Charmers; RUB UP( AKA JAMAICA SONG); DONNA - Blues Blasters. Unfortunately the vinyl is G, however there are no skips, jumps or loud pops.

Payment to be made with Paypal. Insurance for overseas packages IS NOT available. Packages may be sent via Registered Mail for an additional $11. The buyer assumes full responsibilty for the package. On orders over $100 to a new customer, Registered Mail is required.
