Description
A very rare 45rpm vinyl, Jean Dorothy/Teenage Love, recorded in 1958 by The Five Chesternuts (Hank B Marvin & Bruce Welch pre Drifters/Shadows/Cliff). Columbia cat. no. 45-DB 4165. Matrix no's. 7X CA 24449 - 1N & 7XCA-24450 - 1N. The Five Chesternuts personnel were Hank B Marvin (then know as Brian Rankin), Bruce Welch, Pete Chester (son of famous comedian Charlie Chester), Gerry Hurst & Neil Johnson. In September 1958 Hank & Bruce joined Cliff Richard's backing group The Drifters, who later became The Shadows ....... the rest is Rock 'n Roll history!! I purchased the record when it was first released in 1958. It has not been played for some 50 years or so, and has been carefully stored with the rest of our vinyl collection. We have now decided to dispose of the entire collection. With regard to the condition of the disc, I regret that I am unable to check it's playability as we no longer own a turntable. However on visual inspection it seems to be in reasonable condition, apart from scuffs and scratches commensurate with a fair number of playings 'back in the day'. The record does not have a sleeve.
