THE FIVE DAY WEEK - STRAW PEOPLE
A highly presentable and overall nice condition copy of this extremely rare and highly sought after 1968 UK 1st press psychedelic rock gem.

An overall very good plus (VG+) condition vinyl retaining most of it's original jet black sheen and in normal daylight appearing to be virtually unmarked. Weighty and completely flat with just a few wispy hairlines, all superficial and only detectable with close scrutiny under a bright light and do not impinge upon the truly excellent STEREO sound quality. The exception to this is a non-obvious (you will need to look closely under a bright light) 1.5cm very light and non-feelable scratch which straddles tracks 3 and 4 on side 1, and does result in some light rotational clicking through almost the entirety of track 4. Again, very good plus (VG+) labels - with jus ta few very, very light marks on each and faint spindle trails also. The iconic St James Press front-side laminated outer sleeve remains in very good plus (VG+) condition. Firm edges with just 3cm of sporadic light scuffing on the bottom edge and mild scuffing on the corners; the "nipped" ends spine remains largely intact with all spine text perfectly legible though there are x5 small crease marks adjacent and perpendicular to the spine edge on the front side, one of which does cut into the spine. The reverse side is impressively intact with the two flipbacks remaining nicely intact and just a little mild age related wear. The iconic front-side art work remains wonderfully impressive with all the colours vibrant and clear. Overall excellent (EX) STEREO audio quality with no skips, jumps, repeats, obvious clicks (apart from the aforementioned A4 clicking), background interference or crackle. Impressive tone and clarity throughout even at higher volume and frequencies, with every track making for a great listen on this brilliant "under the radar" psych album. Comes with original excellent condition SAGA inner sleeve with correct "PATENT NO..." and "MADE IN ENGLAND" texts and no edge splits, tears, edge fraying, or obvious creasing - just a little mild age discolouration next to the edges. A truly brilliant psychedelic rock LP with overall impressive sound quality, still highly presentable and worthy of gracing any serious vinyl collection.

Note that when packing I always separate the inner sleeve and vinyl from the outer sleeve to help prevent seam splits, and insert the vinyl into a separate plain white inner sleeve in order to further protect the original. I use thick cardboard stiffeners and take great care to ensure as far as possible that these precious records reach their destination in exactly the same condition as when they leave me.
