THE FLIES House Of Love b/w It Had To Be You (Decca F 12594) RARE UK 1st Pressing EX
RARE original UK first pressing of The Flies` single "House Of Love" b/w "It Had To Be You", released on Decca Records (March 1967).
Sounding a bit like a mix between The Troggs and Ronnie Wood`s Birds, The Flies had enough street credibility to lambast The Pink Floyd for "selling out" to public tastes after a shared appearance at The 14 Hour Technicolor Dream (April 14th, 1967). Although The Flies successfully straddled both the established Mod as well as the burgeoning London psychedelic scenes, public interest fizzled after a few singles. It goes without saying that this makes their very limited output all the more desirable to those in the know.

VG+ to EX RECORD in very fine all-round condition.
- Near-peerless audio reproduction throughout.
- Some crackle in run-in grooves, as well as in the run-off.
- Both sides visually VG+ with general hairlining, mostly from sleeve removal.
- No scratches, no clicks or pops.
- Dark blue Decca Records labelling with missing centerpiece.
- Small initials ("MR") on Decca logo of B-side.
