RARE UK first pressing of The Flock`s eponymously-titled debut album "The Flock" on CBS Records (1969).
"The first thing you hear on The Flock is an electric guitar, but listeners are quickly exposed to the band's secret weapon -- the violin of Jerry Goodman. The instrumental opening track lays out the group's bold fusion of classical and rock. Subsequent tracks, including the Ray Davies chestnut "Tired of Waiting," add jazz to the mix with an unconventional horn section of two tenor saxes and a trumpet. Veteran English bluesman John Mayall raves about the Chicago septet in the liner notes. Like the Blind Faith album, this powerful debut is undercut by a too-long jam at the end."  - Mark Allan for allmusic.com GRADING:

- Original UK first pressing front-laminated sleeve with a slight corner bend (at top right).
- Small area of laminate lift (at top right).
- Very minor discolouring of rear sleeve only.   - Two or three minuscule creases to the spine.
- Small corner bump (at bottom left).
- Also includes poly-lined inner sleeve (date-stamped "0370") in MINT(-) condition.

EX++ to MINT- RECORD, carefully played a few times. Pristine audio reproduction all the way through.
- A few of the lightest hairlines, from sleeve removal only.
- Original dark-orange CBS labels with a few superficial spindle lines, visible only under strong lighting.
- The matrix stamps in the run-off grooves read "SBPG 63733 A1" and "SBPG 63733 B1", thereby denoting a UK first pressing.
- This copy of "The Flock" is fully certified to be an original UK first pressing, released in 1969.
