PYS was an interesting label in the late 60s releasing a plethora of pop rock records and a roster that included Status Quo, the Kinks, Man and Donovan. The Flying Circus are a great example of pop psych that produced a one off smash hit single 'Smile A Little Smile' that actually made it into the American top 5. Of course its included on this album alongside a great collection of similar swinging London style songs with a psych edge. Haven't seen a copy of this for about 30 years.
This auction is part of a fantastic collection of seventies rock which I was lucky enough to acquire. Most of these records were stored with the utmost care and sparsely played. Some were possibly never played or may have been for just a handful of times.
Pressing: Pye, UK, 1970 - original blue label
Vinyl: Clean but used condition. One spindle mark on label and light signs of use - a needle few scuffs and surface marks. Grades as Ex
Cover: Tough to score in decent shape as the cover has a matt silver finish - always prone to massive wear but this one is in good condition. Sharp corners (lightly rubbed), no dings, no bends, no ring wear, no split seams and no creases. Spine is straight if a little worn. Displays some shelf wear and signs of handling. Small evidence of price sticker spot bottom right. Grades as a strong Vg+
