THE FOUR KING COUSINS First CAPITOL Album The date is uncertain, but it would likely be the late 1960's judging by the material. The girls are part of the famous KING FAMILY, the daughters of THE KING SISTERS singing group. Their sound is likened to "sunshine pop", and is very much of it's time. These are the sounds that many radio stations - esp FM - still favoured in the 60's and '70's, when they still felt they were programmng for the older crowd. This is not to denigrate the KING COUSINS, who have a fine sound and who sing the songs of Brian Wilson, Burt Bacharach, the Beatles and Paul Williams. There's a nice cover here also of Marvin Hamlischs pop hit for Lesley Gore called 'CALIFORNIA NIGHTS'. The CAPITOL record number is ST 2990. It's in STEREO and is in EXCELLENT to ALMOST LIKE NEW condition.
