THE FOUR PRO'S — Everybody's Got Some Soul b/w You Can't Keep A Good Man Down
Carla Records – 2532 | Original White Label Promotion Copy
Up for auction/sale is an exceptional, top-tier copy of one of the most sought-after Detroit Northern Soul 45s ever pressed: The Four Pro's on Ollie McLaughlin's legendary Carla Records label.
Arranged and conducted by Motown icon Mike Terry and produced by Ollie McLaughlin, this two-sided monster features the explosive "Plug Side" track "Everybody's Got Some Soul" paired with the storming dancer "You Can't Keep A Good Man Down."
Finding an original White Label Promo of this release with Near Mint play surfaces is an absolute rarity for Northern Soul collectors and working DJs alike.
🔎 DETAILED CONDITION & COLLECTOR NOTES
-
Vinyl Grade (NM): The vinyl surface retains its deep, mirror-like factory gloss. Completely free from deep scuffs, scratches, or groove wear. Beautifully preserved and ready for the turntable.
-
Labels: Original white promo labels with sharp, clear text stampings.
-
Side 1 (You Can't Keep A Good Man Down): Clean and bright with minimal handling wear around the center hole.
-
Side 2 (Everybody's Got Some Soul): Features light, vintage red marker swirling along the printed concentric rings (a classic radio DJ cue mark designating the plug side). The ink has aged naturally, with no paper tears, heavy scuffs, or obstruction of the track title.
-
-
Original Sleeve (VG+): Housed in its authentic, period-correct red-and-white Atlantic-ATCO Group company sleeve. The paper shows natural age-toning and mild storage creasing along the outer edges, but remains sturdy and intact with no major seam blowouts.
