This LP rarely comes up for auction, even less often in this great condition!
THE FOX - For Fox Sake - UK Fontana Stereo 6309 007 - Released in 1970
The vinyl is in superb unmarked condition, I cannot see any scratches or scuffs under strong light, clean and shiny - It comes in the original poly-lined white paper inner sleeve with boxed 'Plastic bags can be dangerous...' text in blue, along with patent numbers and 'Made in England' printed on it.
The fully laminated cover is also in superb shape, remaining uncreased and without stickers, writing or stains - There is a little 'feathering' to the very corners at the opening edge and there is a slight 'nick' near the 'Fontana' logo, also at the opening edge (see close-up photos) - Despite these minor faults, it is still in fantastic condition for it's age, really glossy laminate, not scuffed or scratched - fully readable spine text - tight seams without any splitting or drying out of glue.
Both labels are extremely clean, I can see two or three spindle trails on side 2 and just one on side 1, no stickers, writing, staining or tears.
I have only played it once for testing and can assure you that there are no audible faults - there is very light static at run-ins and between tracks but no distortion or hiss, i do not think this record has been played very many times at all and remains a superb copy!
It is unlikely that you would need or want to upgrade from such a fantastic example.
