THE FRUIT EATING BEARS: 4X3 E.P. SOME OTHER GUY / CAVERN STOMP // CHILLS / SHIMMY SHIMMY PUR LEPHONE RECORDS UK 1978 - LIMITED EDITION No 066 (STAMPED ON COVER AND ON CASSETTE) Very obscure late '70s cassette only release by early punk band (see the superb 45 Revolutions book by Mario Panciera for full details on band and their two rare singles on DJM and Lightning Records from 1978). None of the tracks on the cassette are same as the tracks on the 2 singles and I guess this was released at the time of their Lightning single 'Chevy Heavy' as the artwork on the tape is similar to the cover of the single). Possibly the 4-tracks here are from the same session as the 2 on the single? No idea, I can see that all 4 tracks are included in a recent compilation by the band available exclusively through an on-line music platform. This is certainly not a demo tape as it has a price printed on it. Cannot find further information on this cassette nor it is mentioned anywhere, and I spend enough time searching for it..
