Limited to 300 copies only, this 2010 single from the amazing The Garbage And The Flowers was gone nearly as soon as it was released. Steeped in the kind of inspiration that drove New Zealand's Xpressway label, Alastair Galbraith, The Terminals, Peter Jefferies and Sandra Bell, The Garbage And The Flowers were unappreciated in their time and only in the past year with an expansive retrospective of early recordings has the band begun to receive the accolades they earned decades ago.

The Garbage & The Flowers were Helen Johnstone, Yuri Frusin, Torben Tilly, Paul Ling.

7" is MINT to MINT-/Cover is MINT to MINT-

Helen Johnstone & Yuri Frusin went on to form Ent Lang and Dress. Torben Tilly formed the duo Minit with Jasmine Guffond. Paul Ling would reappear in The Drugs and Pit Viper. Members also recorded as part of The New Zealand Guitar Orchestra with members of K-Group and The Surface Of The Earth.

The Garbage & The Flowers issued one 7" on Twisted Village (Wayne Rogers and Kate Biggar of Major Stars, Crystalized Movements, Magic Hour's label), this lathe 7", a double LP set on The Now Sound label (Eyes Rind as If Beggars) as well as a couple of tracks to Alastair Galbraith's Runner compilation Classic New Zealand dark pop/folk/rock of the ilk that made Xpressway Tapes so important (think Alastair Galbraith, Peter Jefferies, Plagal Grind, This Kind Of Punishment).

A quick note about changes to the US Postal Services international postage rates for packages: I'm sorry to say that as of 2013 the US Postal Service has significantly raised the cost of shipping packages (even to Canada). Unfortunately this is affecting all US sellers and international buyers. My shipping prices reflect the new shipping costs and the eBay fees for the shipping you pay as well as packaging material (I do try to recycle when I can but that's not too often). If the US Postal Service reduces rates, I will adjust them to reflect fair postage for international buyers.
