I can't express the wonder of this set, The Garbage And The Flowers are one of the more important New Zealand band that never got the attention they deserved, a band that belonged on Xpressway but I believe surfaced too late to make it there. Brilliant!
LP is VG+ to MINT- (unplayed)/Inserts are MINT- to VG+/Cover is MINT.
7" is MINT-/cover is VG+
Each album cover was individually hand painted and distinct, painted by Len Steckler, Jeremy Steckler & Brooke Megdal. Len Steckler was a famed artist, photographer and commercial advertising creative who's son Jeremy also worked on the covers for this album. Each cover was hand painted and they are beautiful.
Len Steckler was well known for his work on 1950's and 60's ad campaigns (see his Wik ap edia entry for more on that) as well as photographs, including iconic photos of Sharon Tate, Marilyn Monroe and others. Near to his death, a rediscovered series of photos he took of Marilyn Monroe in 1961 were exhibed. He also directed for television.
Fellow artist here, Jeremy Steckler (son of Len), moved on to film production working on films like Old Man and the Gun, Only the Brave, Army of One, Doom and others.
