THE GRATEFUL DEAD - AOXOMOXOA RARE White Label Promo LP. Condition is "Used". Shipped with USPS Media Mail.


WOW!! For sale is a very rare and desirable white label promo copy of The Grateful Dead’s AOXOMOXOA! These are highly sought after and rarely found. It is the earliest possible 1969 pressing of the Dead’s 3rd album...a masterpiece of psychedelic rock experimentation! This copy plays great...the disc has superficial scratches only- nothing major whatsoever. Some light crackle in quieter spots only really...a good deep clean would do wonders I’m sure.

This contains the ORIGINAL mix of the album, an even more psychedelic version of the album than the “tamed down” remix that occurred in 1970-1971, which stripped off much of the effects and “loose ends”. This first, original mix remains ONLY available on these very first pressings of the album, as all reissues since have used the 2nd, tamer mix. Most Deadheads will tell you, this original 1st mix is the ONLY way to experience this masterpiece!!


Also, White label promos are sought after not only for their rarity and being the “earliest” pressing, but for their often superior sound quality to standard pressings, and this is no exception! Pressed first in the run, the stampers are fresh and it is as close to the master tape as you’ll find on an original 1969 vinyl record.


Sleeve: VG-

Intact sleeve has some ring wear, rubbing on seams and 4” seam split along middle of the top seam, but not quite to the opening edge. Smaller split in the middle of bottom seam. Corners are somewhat bumped/foxed. See pics for the best perspective.


Disc VG (SOLID...grading conservatively as some may call this VG+ especially when using EX as a grade)

Glossy disc is quite nice! There are several light scratches/marks that are very superficial and NOT feelable. Nothing deep or serious at all.


Labels: EX

Beautiful white promo labels have no unwanted writing. Lovely.


Original company inner sleeve is included in nice shape.
