The Grateful Dead – Self Titled Debut Album
The Grateful Dead were an American rock band formed in 1965 in the San Francisco Bay Area. The band was known for its unique and eclectic style, which fused elements of rock, folk, bluegrass, blues, reggae, country, improvisational jazz, psychedelia, and space rock — and for live performances of long musical improvisation.
Side One: The Golden Road (To Unlimited Devotion); Beat It On Down The Line; Good Mornin’ Little School Girl; Cold Rain And Snow; Sittin’ On Top Of The World; Cream Puff War.
Side Two: Morning Dew (Take Me For A Walk); New, New Minglewood Blues; Viola Lee Blues.
The album is on Warner Brothers Records, W 1689. Matrix side one: W 1689A-1?5 (stamped). Matrix side two: W 1689B-1?5 (stamped).
1967. UK pressing. Mono.

Condition: (as Record Collector’s grading system)
Vinyl side 1: very good (has a few noticeable marks with a scratch over the last half of track two and the first half of track three that causes about 15 light clicks at the start of track three but nothing that spoils your enjoyment of the music, that apart plays great with no jumps, sticks or clicks and minimal crackle).
Vinyl side 2: excellent (has a few very light superficial marks that do not affect the audio in any way, plays great with no jumps, sticks or clicks and minimal crackle).
Cover (front laminated, flip-back): very good (a few small laminate creases, some light rubbing on front, aging and a few light stains on the back).
Comes with the original inner sleeve which has a split on the bottom edge and some creases!
I have tried to give my honest opinion as to the condition. I will give a complete refund to the buyer if they are not happy with the record.

RECORD COLLECTOR GRADING SYSTEM:
MINT: I very rarely use the mint grade. Only records that are still sealed or records that even under the strongest of lights are completely unmarked. Also covers that are unmarked/uncreased in any way and still look brand new.
EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is no lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.
FAIR: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.
POOR: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
