THE GRATEFUL DEAD The Story of The Grateful Dead 2nd Edition hails from 2025 and is a SEALED 180 Gram 14LP set pressed on Colored Vinyl.  Take a trip through four studio and four live albums that transport the listener across the band's storied career. The lacquers were cut by Chris Bellman at Bernie Grundman Mastering in Hollywood, CA. This set is pressed by Record Technology Inc (RTI) on high quality 180g vinyl in a kaleidoscope of hues with heavyweight tip-on jackets.

 

This heavyweight two-piece slip and slash box features original design by Jeremy Dean, whose modern approach with the band's iconic imagery in his work is widely sought after and repped by Dead fans.

 

Features essays by contemporary musical figures on the eight albums in the set and the impact on their lives and musical approaches. Printed on thick cover matte stock, this deluxe 12x12" booklet also features archival and rare photos and ephemera courtesy of iconic photographers from the eras.

 

All eight titles in this VMP Anthology had lacquers cut by Chris Bellman at Bernie Grundman Mastering in Hollywood, CA. All titles were cut 'AAA' from the original analog tapes, with the exception of Without a Net coming from the original master digital audio. Pressed by Record Technology Inc (RTI) on high quality 180g colored vinyl.
