Original 1967 United Artists pressing of The Hassles, the Long Island band best known for featuring a very young Billy Joel on organ, piano, and vocals. This self-titled debut blends blue-eyed soul, psych-tinged rock, and R&B, highlighted by their energetic covers and early Joel-penned originals.
The album includes the songs “Warming Up,” “A Taste of Honey,” “Every Step I Take,” “Coloured Rain,” “I Hear Voices,” “Giving Up,” and more. The gatefold sleeve features period photos and a full write-up introducing the band members, including Billy Joel’s earliest recorded work.
Original UAS 6631 labels on both sides. A great piece for Billy Joel collectors, 60s rock fans, and those into rare pre-fame recordings.
