THE HAWK (Jerry Lee Lewis) In The Mood LONDON 45 - RARE

After his disastrous tour of the UK in 1958 and the revelations about his marriage to his 13 year old cousin, Jerry Lee's career was at a low ebb.

Jerry Lee Lewis recorded these instrumentals under the pseudonym “The Hawk” for Sam Philips Sun subsidiary label “Philips International”

This 45 was not released by London/Decca in the UK but a small number were pressed by London in Canada.

IN THE MOOD is a rocking boogie version of the Glen Miller tune and the flip is in typical Jerry Lee country style.
